On March 28th 2014 SOCH celebrated earth hour observation by saving electricity through power cut for an hour in AMU campus. AMU students switched off the light of their rooms for an hour, lighted up candles and took a pledge not only to save energy but also to inform everyone regarding the same. Dr. Saleem Mohammad Khan, president of SOCH who is concerned for environment protection said” public awareness about environment protection must be started at stage of infancy. Of late, some awareness has taken place related to environmental degradation, pollution etc. but incomplete knowledge and information and ignorance about many aspects have often led to misconception”. The program was organized in collaboration with Department of Wild Life and Biodiversity Conservation, Aligarh Muslim University.

This was celebrated by SOCH on June 5th 2013 & dedicated to spread awareness and message to save the environment and plant earth. Main aim was to raise global awareness about our environment. SOCH team members planted many trees on this day to promote greenery in surrounding area and protect environment.

On June 5th 2015, SOCH-beyond the imagination started a campaign regarding water conservation in Aligarh. The prime purpose of campaign was to aware general people about the rapid decrease in water level and conservation of water for sustainable environment. During campaign around 50-60 people registered for water alarm system provided by SOCH team. Mr. Saad Hamid and Mr. Mazin Hussain were presented as chief guest along with members of Civil Engineering department (environmental unit) AMU.
