Our NGO- “SOCH- beyond the imagination” recently started an educational project for children live in slum and other backward areas of Aligarh. The slums of Aligarh are a breeding ground for poverty, exploitation, negligence, destitution and disease. Children living in these slums have poor access to schools; there is a high dropout rate from school by grade 8, often because slum children are employed in the labour sector at a young age. Many of them, seeking to supplement the family income, work in distant locations which make regular attendance at school impossible.
Today we all know about the importance of education but education for slum area children still a question mark. So as a oraganization we started some project and awarness event to educate them such as we launched initiative for Kashmir School students on August 11th 2015 at Baramulla, Kashmir and started a Sir Syed Literacy School at Shehanshabad.
These camps were organized by SOCH to help and assist the students who come to Aligarh for entrance test of AMU. Many thousands of students come to Aligarh Muslim University to appear in entrance examination. On the day of examination students of Aligarh Muslim University under the banner of SOCH... beyond the imagination a student body of AMU students organize various Help camps at different places.
We organized several awareness drives and health related events like dental and oral camps, blood donation camps, earth hour observation, water conservation, world environment day celebration day etc. Aligarh Muslim University.Main aim was to raise global awareness about our environment. We also worked to promote greenery in surrounding area and protect environment.

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) alumnus, Dr Danish Suhail represented AMU and India at the World Health Organization (WHO) headquarters in Geneva after he was invited as an International Youth Delegate to present his views on 'Current Medical Problems in India'. During the Geneva visit, Dr Suhail requested the WHO for more cooperation. At the WHO Headquarters, Dr Suhail put forth the health problems existing in India and what can be done to combat the problem. He also explained the delegates at the WHO Headquarters, the work, 'SOCH' has been doing. "SOCH may collaborate with WHO to run some programs which can help in benefitting the health of the people of India," said Dr Suhail.
